DECEMBER 11, 2019
Thank you, Lord, for my morning quiet time
A time to be alone and to hear Your voice
So much wisdom in each of the readings
I must capture and save, less I forget
You said to bring my dreams and concerns to you
That you are My Rock, a place of refuge
A place to live with you
That you desire a living relationship with Me
For me to deny myself and help carry your cross
To worship you in the darkness where sorrows reign
As well in the glorious morning light
To ask for anything in your Name
To make you, my Savior, my only God
Not comfort, possessions, joy or peace
Nor even your blessings
Just to focus on the Giver, not the gifts
You promise to lead Me if I would just follow
To obey at any cost on any road
To walk in faith and love
In darkness and light giving you the glory
Thank you, Lord, for the stillness of this morning
Your words have shown me the way
For you are the way to your Kingdom
Where you have reserved a place for me
