Your Cross exhibited your love for me
The world thought that nails would detain you
However, it was your love that endured
Satan thought he had an apparent victory,
but it was the strength of your divine purpose
That lifted you up to an eternal victory
As You bleed, Satan’s plan was defeated
Your dying stand exposed your undying love
As you have loved me, I am to use my gifts, resources
and abilities to love others
Baptized in your name to be patient, tender and loving
A member of your royal family, chosen by You
And protected by your wisdom and instructions
from the evil one and every false way
I will faithfully abide in you
