MARCH 10, 2020

Lord, I humbly admit that sin is within my heart
It is a bigger danger than the sin that lurks outside
I am thankful for undeserved grace
The grace that rescues me from myself

Although my afflictions may seem severe
In mercy they are often sent
As blessings from you
To bring me back into your presence

Lord you have blessed me with prosperity
Warned me to be aware of the smooth way
Not to be so secure in myself
That world prosperity is a fiery trial

Help me not to waste my time on earth
But to have sympathy for those less fortunate
Sympathy keeps me from being selfish
Sympathy keeps me from being lonely as I age

In times of leisure
May I think on God, life and death
Eternity and my destiny
And the rich realities of spiritual life
