“The wrath to come.” (Matthew 3:78)
God’s tempest against evil is gathering
A show of disectiing fire is coming
His floodgates of cleansing water will soon open
Decision thunderbolts will overpower the sky
Where will we hide, where will we flee?
Pray the hand of mercy has led us to Christ
Our Savior, our rock and shelter in times of trouble
May we cast ourselves only unto Him
God has revealed himself to us in his written word
In his incarnate Son, out Teacher
May we receive Him as our Savior
He will allow the fury to pass over us forever
Let us review the values of our lives
Have we put success at work above His will?
Is his work within us and through us?
With a clear conscious and trite heart, give our lives to Him
Value his forgiveness, his presence
And his promise of eternal life in his kingdom
Let us trade the things that pass away
And dedicate our lives to his agenda of grace
Our values shape our hearts
Mold our decisions and influence our actions
“Whatever he said of us, lets us do it now” (John 2:5)
True success never passes away
