FEBRUARY 7, 2020

Thank you, Lord for your promises
Your mercy, your grace, your home

I want to believe, I am not a sinner
To look in my mirror and see good
However, in the reflection in the mirror of your word
I see my self-righteousness
My true identity as a sinful man
And a child of My Savior’s free gift of mercy

“My grace is sufficient for thee” (2 Cor 12:9)
You test my faith with trials on one hand
And shower me with your grace with your other hand
My trials become triumphs
Your grace perfects my character
Broken, I am made closer to you

I know little of my future, except “death” awaits
Little has been revealed, for no one has ever returned to tell
Yet I do not fear for I know you are with me
We are travelling to your Father’s house
To His home, where my You, my Savior lives
In your mercy and grace, may I triumph over today’s trials
And press on to a better place

Where my tears of sorrow become tears of joy
In your Kingdom of bliss
