Thank you, Lord, for this special day
The day the “Word” became flesh
Immanuel, the God with us
You walked the earth in humility
Obedient to the point of death
You gave up your spirit to save and comfort Me
If you had not become man
There would be no gospel, no salvation
No glorious redemption and no promise of hope
Only “dust to dust”, “ashes to ashes”
Thank you for your love and mercy
Your good tidings and your gifts of peace and joy
Your Spirit's presence within Me
Renew my mind and cleanse my heart
Help me identify with you and exhibit your character
May I never lose sight of your divinity
Thank you for shinning your never-ending light on me
May you use me to help accomplish your work
Sharing the truth of your birth, crucifixion, and resurrection
For the redemption of mankind
