There is much in this world that I do not understand
Confusion often reigns in my mind and heart
Death, wars, viruses surround me
Thankfully, my Lord is never confused
He has my best interest in mind
When my life is hard and difficult,
I will put my trust in my Savior
He is worthy for He loves me dearly
Peace, rest can only be found in Him
Having been a slave to sin
Out of love, He laid down his life for me
Dying for my redemption and freedom
“Let them go their way” (John 18:8)
Satan and death heard his proclamation
I will rejoice in his gift of immunity
Secured by my Savior’s love
I will bless his name all day,
and every day
