“Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden,
I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28)
Lord, I have heard your call, my salvation rests in Thee
For under your yoke true freedom is found
Freedom from the lie of autonomy
I do not have the right to live as I wish
You created me for a purpose in life
I belong to you, show me the way
Freedom from the lie of self-sufficiency
I do not have everything within me to do as I like
Without you my life, the world owns me
And a destiny of destruction awaits me
Lord, teach me your way
Encourage me when I am ready to give up
Warn me of pending temptations of the “destroyer”
Strengthen me when I am weak
Heal me when I am sick
Rebuke and counsel me when I am wrong
Forgive me when I sin
Restore me to your righteousness when I fail
Lord, may my thoughts, words and actions
Glorify Thee, acknowledge and reveal your majesty
May my contentment and patience please Thee
May my talents be used to exhibit your bountiful gifts
My time to serve thee and my heart to love only thee
In all things, enable me to glorify Thee
May your tender hand of pardon,
Raise me up and restore me to your Kingdom
